the show was ok….
but i just love shows surrounding Biblical events & references….
it’s the kinda show that I’d say…. it’s not too bad a show to spend $7 or $8 on….
 the one thing I don’t like about this show is that everyone dies except for the girl & boy…

Anderson Cooper and his team went down to Haiti to cover the chaos that was occurring there…. people were looting stores…. the robbers were being robbed…. and in the mids of it all, Anderson Cooper saw a boy get hit by a brick or some sort thrown from the roof of a building and saved the boy. 

We were covering another story when we heard shots being fired. We ran toward the sound and found a store being looted. Two Haitian police officers were occasionally firing into the air to try to keep order, but that only worked for a few moments, then the looting would begin again.

They were stealing boxes of candles. An American businessman named Tony who owns two stores nearby barricaded one street to keep looters away. He had armed the two Haitian police with automatic weapons, and they were assisting him, but they were not able to control anything beyond their barricade.

It quickly became a free-for-all. Young men began fighting one another for the stolen items. A number of young men had knives, and planks of wood, screwdrivers and rocks. They were using their improvised weapons to threaten and injure others who had stolen items from the store. The robbers were now being robbed. One group of looters whipped another man with a leather belt. They punched him as well, and they stole the sack of goods he’d just stolen.

I was in the midst of the melee with Charlie Moore, my producer, Neil Hallsworth my cameraman, Vlad Duthiers, my translator, and there was a still photographer from Getty Images with us, photojournalist Jonathan Torgovnik. As things got really out of control, I saw a looter on the roof of the store they’d broken into throw what I think was part of a concrete block into the crowd. It hit a small boy in the head.

I saw him collapse. More chunks of concrete were being thrown at the looters on the roof. The injured boy couldn’t get up. He’d try and then collapse again. Blood was pouring from his head. He was conscious but had no control over his body. I was afraid someone on the roof would see him lying there and throw another cinder block piece onto him. I was afraid he’d get killed. No one seemed to be helping him.

I ran to where he was struggling, and picked him up off the ground. I brought him to a spot about a hundred feet away. I could feel his warm blood on my arms. I stood him up, but he was clearly unable to walk. He wiped his bloody face, and I tried to reassure him. He had no idea where he was, and he clearly couldn’t walk, so I picked him up again and handed him over to someone behind that makeshift barricade. Tony, the American businessman, gave the boy a wet towel. He was then taken away by someone else. We don’t know what happened to him.

I hope he’s ok.

2nd week of school and it’s….. sucky….
went for BC last night…
awesome workout!!!!
went home to bathe and headed out to meet Ben…
had an unexpected call from him so early in the night….
brought alcohol for him to drown his sorrows…
TOTALLY forgot to msg ash to tell her I couldn’t make it on Skype…
SOOOO VERY SORRY!!!! 

met Ruth at Serangoon station to head to Istana Park….
we went to lend Ben a listening ear….
while listening to him… one drop of water hit us…
and then………… heavy down pour….
like like like…… WTH!?
got soaked… & it was freakin COLD
but not as soaked as Ben…
the stupid boy left his socks in the rain…
ran back out to get them…. barefoot…
he made Ruth carry his wet smelly socks to the cab!!!!!
we cabbed down to Liang Court Mc cause Ben & Ruth were hungry….
headed home at 2am….

woke up earlier than i wanted to….
had to meet Ruth to see the advisor….
OMG….
that woman wasted my freaking time!!!
she doesn’t seem to even know what  she is doing!?!?!?!
AND what help… seriously…. what help is she??
she sounds like she doesn’t even care if we know anything…
her answer to everything???
“It’s all online in your student portal, go look for it”
“You have to go and download it yourself and look at it.”
“Download your DARS report and then show it to me”
“It’s all in your DARS report”
“You should have email it to me. No, I won’t let you download it now. I don’t want you to touch my computer.”

The woman is of no help at all….
I’m sorry but she’s sooooo USELESS!!!
Even her advice is unsupported…. 
the previous advisor gave us reasons to why we should take and drop certain modules…
like give us examples and scenarios as to what happens if we do not heed her advice…
alternatives… etc…
We were shown on her computer how certain things are suppose to look like, so that we could go home and do it ourselves….

THIS CURRENT woman is expecting us to know where everything is and how everything works….
Please…. she has to remember that this is our 2nd sem (1 sem = 4mths) & although we know some of the things about how UB works and all…
we do not know EVERYTHING!!!

Thank my lucky stars I went to see the previous advisor several times before she left….
the only thing I need to learn is how to read the DARS report…

ANYWAYS….. lunch with hubby & sy on Sunday???
BUT it’s at 11am….
a bit early for me…
i super lazy now…
wahahaha…..

My sisters are coming home in April….
& the family is taking a trip to Jakarta for a wedding….
so the plan goes…
Parents leave on the 7th (Wed) for Jakarta…. 
apparently, over there the weddings stretch for days…
I don’t leave till the 9th (Fri) due to school…
Lindajie comes home on the 8th & stays with me till Friday….
we fly back to Singapore on 10th (Sunday)….
I don’t know about the first sister but I think she’s coming too.
OMG….. 2 days without the folks….!!!!!!!!!!!
even though it’s only 2 days,
I’m hitting the ceiling!!!!!!
the only down side to it…
I freaking have to go to school on my own for those 2 days!
& I start at 8 freaking .30 AM!!!!!!!!!!

1st Presents of 2010….

School’s started….
omg…. tuesday and thursdays are soooooo long and tiring….
I think I just might die….
went to school today…. for 30mins!!!!!
it’s a good thing I have Mondays off and short Wednesdays and Fridays….
Even though I have 2 long days,
I love my timetable….
the classes seem fine so far….
although my Coms Org prof. looks like she should be working for SIA or Biotherm….
Maths this sem again…..
beginning this year with some hard work….

Went for BC last night…
it was fucking awesome…
haven’t pushed myself so hard in such a long time…
tiring my best to keep this up…
and hopefully try to fit in yoga again….

went to KUBLAI KHAN MONGOLIAN BAR.B.Q for Mama’s 21st Birthday lunch at ParkMall yesterday….

first time meeting the SP-ers in 2010…
guess we’ll be meeting up every month now for someone’s 21st….
hahaha…
except for March….
no one’s bday is in March.

Lunch was pretty ok…
never knew that the restaurant existed… 
the place survives on the numerous tour groups….
